Both Dino and Tom have been around to many gyms in their travel. They have seen tremendous growth in boxing and want to see the growth continue. Boxing is one of the best workouts for cardio, heart health, self-protection, aerobic, anaerobic and strength conditioning. when taught PROPERLY. Its kind of an all-in-one workout. It is easy to participate as all you really need to try it is some hand-wraps and a pair of gloves. It is also accessible in the sense that it is cost efficient and the benefits are tremendous. Very little chance of injury, low Impact and easy to learn IF taught properly. This is all predicated however on the fact that you do not injure yourself, or worse, your client. Without proper form, instruction and protection in the initial stages, it can easily come to an abrupt end with the wrong trainer or coach. It will “turn off" a person, with a bad 1st experience. This will ultimately curtail the clients into giving up and corrupting the boxing workout.
Adding boxing to your repertoire and arsenal will help make you not only stand out but instill a unique confidence in your clients you can only get from boxing.
WHY CHOOSE 5TH ST. GYM?
5th St. Gym has developed their teaching and seminars to help prevent the gym industry from flooding this niche market with untrained and inexperienced individuals. Tom and Dino have conduced their program with over 20 years of perfecting their specific curriculum and what works most efficiently and how to teach to benefit TRAINERS. Years of not only in the professional and amateur boxing business, they have taught thousands of classes, clients, and holding mitts and zoning in on what works best and keeps clients coming back.
They start with the Level I Seminar which can proficiently teach trainers to be able to teach a client or incorporate boxing, to a safe, accurate, efficient and responsible workout in their arsenal. Level II is the next level a trainer can go and Level III is more intense and the highest level which will complete the journey to a high level of instruction.
The instructors are all either current or former professional fighters or trainers and we have procured former Olympians and World Champions who are on staff for some of our seminars. All Instructors have passed background checks and most have college degree or equivalent education or training. They are presentable, experienced and above all professional.
